We're On the Ballot. And We Got Here Together.

It's official. The Vince for Sioux Falls campaign is on the June 2nd ballot.

I want to take a moment — before we charge ahead into the next phase — to just say thank you. Because this didn't happen by itself.

The People Who Made It Happen

Getting on the ballot for Sioux Falls City Council At-Large requires 200 signatures from registered voters. That sounds simple on paper. In practice, it means asking people to stop what they're doing, trust you enough to put their name on something, and believe that you're worth a shot.

To every single person who signed our petition — thank you. You didn't have to. You chose to. That means everything.

And to our petition circulators — the people who went out and made those conversations happen — I am genuinely in awe of you. You walked neighborhoods. You knocked on doors. You stood outside in March in South Dakota, which, as we all know, is its own kind of commitment. You believed in this campaign enough to put in the work before there were yard signs in yards or commercials on TV. That's the foundation everything else gets built on.

What We Saw Out There

Going out to collect signatures wasn't just a checkbox on a campaign to-do list. It was a reminder of why I'm running in the first place.

We met people on their porches, in their driveways, at their doors. People who are paying attention to this city. People who have opinions about their neighborhood — about the roads, the traffic, the cost of living, whether their block feels safe. People who want to be heard.

Not every conversation was easy. Some folks had tough questions. I answered them as honestly as I could. That's the kind of campaign this is going to be.

What struck me most was how many people said some version of the same thing: I'm glad someone like you is running. Not because of my name or my background — but because they felt like they could actually talk to me. Like I was one of them, not above them.

That's not something I take lightly. That's a responsibility.

The Gear Shift Is Real

I'll be honest with you: this campaign has hit a different level.

The energy is different. The conversations are different. The stakes feel more real — because they are. June 2nd is coming fast. Every week between now and then counts.

Our team is locked in. Our volunteers are showing up. And now that we're officially on the ballot, we're turning our full attention to making sure every neighborhood in Sioux Falls knows who we are and what we're fighting for.

Responsible growth that keeps pace with our infrastructure. A vibrant community where small businesses and local culture can thrive. Equal opportunity for every family in every quadrant of this city — not just the ones that get the most attention.

That's the Sioux Falls we're building toward.

Thank You

To our circulators, our signers, our volunteers, our donors, and everyone who has shared a post, sent a text, or just told a neighbor about this campaign — you are the reason we're here.

It's always been our city. Now is our moment.

Let's rise together. ☀️
