Vince Danh
for city council (at-large a)
“Building a Sioux Falls where every family can thrive.”
I’m Vince Danh — a business owner, entrepreneur, and lifelong Sioux Falls neighbor. I’m running for Sioux Falls City Council because this city gave my family the opportunity to succeed and now it’s my turn to give back. My vision is simple: responsible growth that plans ahead, a vibrant community full of life, and equal opportunity so every family can succeed.
Vince Danh is running for Sioux Falls City Council At-Large A to help our city grow with foresight and fairness. Vince was raised in Sioux Falls by immigrant parents who opened the first Vietnamese restaurant in town. He grew up behind the counter, watching Sioux Falls expand in size, infrastructure, and diversity. That experience shaped how he leads today—grounded, optimistic, and focused on results for every neighborhood.
As Sioux Falls continues to grow, Vince’s priorities are clear: responsible growth that tackles housing and childcare affordability, plans infrastructure alongside people, and eases traffic congestion and road construction headaches; a vibrant community that supports small businesses, keeps families thriving, and invests in arts and culture; and equal opportunity that makes city resources easier to access, strengthens our workforce, and keeps the cost of living manageable for families and seniors.
PLATFORM & Priorities
-

Responsible Growth
Building with Foresight and Heart — Sioux Falls is growing fast. Smart growth means planning infrastructure alongside population—so streets, road construction, water, and public safety keep up. It means investing in schools and parks for tomorrow’s families. And it means making housing and childcare affordability a real priority so working people, young families, and seniors can find a home in Sioux Falls while keeping the cost of living in check.
Focus areas: responsible development, coordinated roadwork, safer intersections, long-term water & sewer planning, public safety, attainable housing options, accessible childcare. -

Vibrant Community
A City That Comes Alive — A great city is more than roads and buildings. It’s people, places, and pride. Sioux Falls thrives when we back small businesses and local entrepreneurs, support arts and culture, and create spaces where neighbors connect—from bustling downtown blocks to trailheads and neighborhood parks.
Focus areas: cut red tape for startups, support local events and venues, activate public spaces, strengthen local businesses.
-
Equal Opportunity
Rising Together — Opportunity should reach every household. Equal Opportunity means city resources are easy to find and simple to use. It means strong workforce and entrepreneurship pathways across the city—so whether you’re new to Sioux Falls or generations deep, you can build a good life here.
Focus areas: clear, multilingual city info; small-business navigation; partnerships with schools and employers; neighborhood investments citywide.

about sioux falls elections
-
“At-Large” means the council member is elected by—and represents—the entire city, not just one area. Sioux Falls has three at-large seats plus five district seats.
-
Sioux Falls labels its three at-large positions A, B, and C to tell them apart on the ballot. All three represent the whole city; the letter is just the seat designation.
-
Sioux Falls elects both district and at-large council members. District representatives are chosen by voters in specific areas. At-Large members—like the seat Vince Danh is running for—represent the entire city, bringing a citywide view while staying accountable to every neighborhood.
-
The next municipal election (Mayor & City Council) is Tuesday, June 2, 2026, aligned with the South Dakota Primary. If no candidate gets more than 50% of the vote, a runoff is held three weeks later (June 23, 2026).
