We're 30 Days Out

June 2nd is thirty days away. The conversations we've been having at kitchen tables and on front porches are about to become votes.

So we're celebrating.

Friday, May 1st. DaDa Gastropub, 402 N Main Ave, Downtown Sioux Falls. Doors open at 7:00 PM. Come ready to move, connect, and feel what this city looks like when it shows up for itself.

Friends Who Said Yes First

When I announced I was running, Daniel Brunz, James Landon, and Christian Holman didn't wait. They just said: we've got you. Years of building something in this city together will do that.

On May 1st, all three are performing live.

Daniel Brunz is a singer-songwriter whose music makes a room go quiet β€” honest, grounded storytelling that stays with you.

James Landon, performing as James1stGen, built his hip-hop sound on the West Coast before bringing it home to Sioux Falls. The name says everything about the journey.

Christian Holman, performing as GHSTMKR, is a DJ who sets a tone. His house sets pull a room together and keep it there all night.

Three artists, one night, all of them from here β€” performing because they believe this city is worth fighting for.

Klein's Office Supplies: Proud Stage Sponsor

Klein's Office Supplies has been a longtime community collaborator, and we're proud to have them as the stage sponsor for May 1st. Their support makes the night possible. Thank you, Klein's.

Taylor & Carter Weiland: The Home We're Celebrating In

This night wouldn't happen without a home to hold it. Taylor and Carter Weiland didn't just open the doors at DaDa Gastropub β€” they've spent years helping build the kind of Sioux Falls worth showing up for. Through DaDa and Icon, they've created spaces where community actually happens: where artists perform, neighbors connect, and the city feels a little more alive. That's not small. That's what a vibrant community looks like in practice. We're grateful for their generosity and proud to celebrate May 1st under their roof. Thank you, Taylor and Carter.

Your Vote β€” and What's Changed

One of the most important things happening won't be on the stage. It'll be at the table with our trained volunteers.

South Dakota now requires proof of citizenship to register to vote β€” a birth certificate or a passport. That means we can no longer register voters and submit forms on their behalf.

What we can do is make it as easy as possible. Volunteers will be on hand with registration forms, pre-addressed envelopes, and answers to your questions. If you're not yet registered, we want to help you get there before June 2nd.

Come Be Part of It

Beyond the music, we'll have a live podcast Q&A and a special "30 Days Out" moment I've been saving for this night.

My parents built a life here because a community showed up for them.

That's the Sioux Falls I grew up in.

That's the city I'm running for.

Free.

Open to everyone.

RSVP appreciated.

It's always been our city, and now is our moment.

Let's rise together. β˜€οΈ
